The Veteran Encounter That Changed Everything

Before Stand Up Now Apparel officially became a brand, I wore a shirt to Disney that boldly declared GOD MADE MAN & WOMAN.

A military veteran stood up from his wheelchair, came over to shake my hand, and thanked me for being strong enough to wear that message publicly.

God showed me that a shirt could proclaim truth before a word was ever spoken.

That veteran's words helped confirm the mission God was placing in front of me. If an encounter with a veteran helped inspire the beginning of Stand Up Now Apparel, supporting veterans needed to remain part of our mission.

Why We Partner With the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund

From the beginning, we wanted to support an organization doing real, measurable work for veterans in our community. That led us to the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, a veteran-led nonprofit based in Palm Beach County that serves eligible wounded and disabled veterans throughout Florida.

WVRF provides urgent financial assistance and critical dental care to veterans facing genuine hardship. Its team works with veterans, VA representatives, social workers, and veteran service officers to identify needs and provide meaningful assistance.

As a VA affiliate, WVRF helps address critical financial and dental-care needs that existing veteran benefits may not fully cover. Its programs can assist with housing expenses, utilities, childcare, emergency financial hardship, and critical dental treatment.

These men and women deserve more than words of appreciation. They deserve meaningful support.
